COACHING

An Intervention is only the beginning…

  • Family Coaching

Addiction is a family disease, and an intervention is about more than the day of the event. No matter the outcome of a formal intervention, I continue working with the family to provide guidance and support. When one member of a family is suffering from addiction, the whole family is thrown into chaos. It can be difficult to understand how to move forward in a manner that supports without enabling.

There are also families who are feeling hopeless and confused, but the timing isn’t quite right for a formal intervention. At times like these, family coaching can be beneficial to alleviate some of the chaos in the household. Coping with a loved one’s addiction is never easy, and sometimes the guidance of a professional can help you fight your way out of the darkness.

  • Recovery Coaching

For those in early recovery, the days following treatment are crucial. Recovery Coaching is an opportunity for my clients to continue growing a one-on-one connection with a seasoned professional after they have completed treatment. Being in recovery myself, and having worked with thousands of others, I understand what is going on behind the eyes of your loved one as they learn to navigate a sober life.

When you have a recovery coach on your side, you know your loved one has someone offering the guidance they need. The transition from treatment to life is a beautiful journey, but there are many hurdles, stressors, and confusing situations. As your loved one begins to learn who they are in this life, and who they want to be, having additional support offers them a resource to turn to when recovery gets hard.

You don’t have to do it alone

Your loved one isn’t the only one suffering. Addiction and mental illness can turn worlds upside down and have you questioning the sound of your own voice. It is okay to feel exactly how you feel today.
